Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Lead Embedded Engineer to join our engineering team for Connected Vehicle product development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in embedded software development, Linux-based systems, modern C++ development, communication frameworks like gRPC and Protobuf, and integration of C++ SDKs/libraries. The candidate will lead technical development activities, mentor team members, and contribute to scalable and high-performance automotive/connected vehicle solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications for Connected Vehicle platforms.
- Develop robust and optimized applications using modern C++ on Linux-based embedded systems.
- Integrate and maintain gRPC and Protocol Buffers (Protobuf) based communication frameworks.
- Work on SDK development, middleware integration, and reusable C++ libraries.
- Lead technical architecture discussions and provide solutions for system-level challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, cloud, testing, and product teams.
- Debug, optimize, and troubleshoot embedded software issues in real-time environments.
- Ensure code quality through reviews, unit testing, and adherence to coding standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and support project planning and execution.
- Participate in requirement analysis, effort estimation, and technical documentation.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Embedded Linux Development
- Proficiency in C++ (Modern C++11/14/17)
- Hands-on experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)
- Experience in development and integration of C++ SDKs and Libraries
- Good understanding of multithreading, IPC, socket programming, and networking concepts
- Experience with debugging tools and performance optimization on Linux systems
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Connected Vehicle / Automotive domain
- Exposure to telematics, OTA updates, vehicle communication protocols, or edge connectivity solutions
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR, CAN, MQTT, or cloud connectivity will be an added advantage
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts in connected systems
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Experience
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in Embedded Software Development
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
