Job Summary
The Bodyshop Incharge is responsible for managing the complete bodyshop operations including accident repair, denting, painting, insurance coordination, manpower supervision, quality control, and customer satisfaction. The role ensures timely delivery of vehicles, efficient workshop productivity, and adherence to dealership and OEM standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesBodyshop Operations Management
- Supervise daily bodyshop operations including denting, painting, and accident repair works.
- Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill and workload.
- Ensure vehicles are repaired and delivered within committed timelines.
- Monitor workshop productivity and efficiency.
Insurance & Estimate Coordination
- Prepare repair estimates for accidental vehicles.
- Coordinate with insurance surveyors for claim approvals.
- Ensure proper documentation for insurance processing.
- Follow up on pending approvals and claims.
Quality Control
- Ensure repair quality meets dealership and OEM standards.
- Conduct final inspection before vehicle delivery.
- Reduce repeat repair complaints and rework cases.
Customer Handling
- Explain repair process, estimate, and delivery timelines to customers.
- Handle customer concerns related to bodyshop repairs.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through proper communication.
Team Management
- Supervise bodyshop technicians, painters, and helpers.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity of staff.
- Identify training needs and improve team performance.
Inventory & Material Control
- Coordinate with spare parts department for required parts availability.
- Monitor paint and consumable usage.
- Minimize wastage and control operational costs.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare daily and monthly bodyshop performance reports.
- Maintain records of repairs, insurance claims, and vehicle delivery.
- Ensure workplace safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of automobile body repair and painting process.

Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Automobile or related field preferred.
Experience
- 3–5 years experience in automobile bodyshop operations preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience is an added advantage.

Working Conditions
- Work involves supervision inside workshop/bodyshop environment.
- Coordination with insurance surveyors, customers, technicians, and spare department required.
- May require extended working hours during peak workloads.
Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
