Job Title: Restaurant Cashier
Location : Muthukulam, Allappuzha District, Kerala State.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused restaurant cashier to join our team. In this role, you will handle customer transactions, manage the cash register, and assist with front-of-house operations. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet customers as they enter the restaurant and provide a welcoming atmosphere
- Accurately process customer orders and handle cash, credit, or debit transactions
- Issue receipts, refunds, or changes due to customers
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cashier station
- Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items and promotions
- Collaborate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service
- Monitor and restock front-of-house supplies as needed
- Follow all cash handling and safety procedures
Restaurant Cashier Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant operations is a plus
