About the Role
We are looking for a passionate, caring, creative, and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher who can create a warm, safe, and stimulating learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate should understand the developmental needs of children in the early years and be able to make learning engaging through play, activities, stories, music, movement, and hands-on experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences for Early Years children.
- Create a child-centred, joyful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Use play-based, activity-based, and experiential teaching methodologies.
- Develop lesson plans and classroom activities aligned with the school's curriculum.
- Encourage children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, physical, and creative development.
- Maintain effective classroom management while ensuring children's safety and well-being.
- Observe and assess children's learning and developmental progress.
- Maintain appropriate records, portfolios, assessments, and classroom documentation.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding children's progress and development.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and school leadership.
- Participate actively in school events, celebrations, assemblies, workshops, and co-curricular activities.
- Maintain a clean, organised, attractive, and stimulating classroom.
- Follow school policies, procedures, safeguarding guidelines, and professional standards.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, positive communication, and professionalism while working with young children.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education / Early Childhood Education / Psychology or a related field.
- NTT, ECCE, D.El.Ed., B.Ed., or equivalent qualification will be preferred.
- Prior experience working with Nursery, KG, or Early Years children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Creative approach to teaching and classroom activities.
- Ability to use stories, rhymes, art, music, movement, and hands-on activities effectively.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital teaching resources.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
