Job Summary
The Steward is responsible for serving meals to patients, consultants, attendants, and hospital staff while maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and customer service. The role supports smooth pantry and cafeteria operations and ensures a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to patients, attendants, doctors, and hospital staff.
- Assist in pantry, cafeteria, and patient meal distribution activities.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, pantry, and serving counters.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items as per hygiene standards.
- Collect and clear used trays, plates, and utensils.
- Coordinate with dieticians, nursing staff, and kitchen personnel regarding patient meal requirements.
- Follow infection control and food safety protocols.
- Assist in inventory checking and stock management of pantry supplies.
- Respond courteously to customer requests and queries.
- Support special events, meetings, and hospital functions as required.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Qualification: SSC / Intermediate (10th or 12th Pass).
- Experience: 0–3 years in hospitals, hotels, restaurants, cafeterias, or food service establishments.
- Freshers with a positive attitude may also apply.
Required Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices.

- Professional appearance and courteous behavior.
Preferred Candidates
- Experience in hospital food services or healthcare hospitality.

- Ability to communicate in Telugu, Hindi, and basic English.
