Job Summary -
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and managing Operations & Maintenance activities of National Highway Projects including Routine Maintenance and Periodic Maintenance works. The role involves coordination with site teams, NHAI officials, contractors, vendors, accounts, and management to ensure smooth execution of projects as per contractual obligations, quality standards, and timeline
Key Roles & Responsibilities -
Project Coordination & Monitoring -
* Coordinate all Routine Maintenance and Periodic Maintenance activities across assigned National Highway projects.
* Monitor daily project progress and ensure timely execution of maintenance works.
* Follow up with site teams regarding road maintenance activities, pothole repairs, drainage cleaning, road marking, signage, crash barriers, shoulder repairs, and safety works.
* Ensure project execution as per NHAI/MoRTH specifications and contract requirements.
Site Coordination
* Coordinate with Project Managers, Highway Engineers, Site Supervisors, and field staff for smooth project operations.
* Monitor manpower deployment, machinery utilization, and material availability at all sites.
* Resolve operational issues and support site teams in achieving project targets.
Client & Authority Coordination -
* Coordinate with NHAI officials, Independent Engineers, consultants, and local authorities.
* Attend review meetings and ensure compliance with instructions issued by clients.
* Ensure timely submission of project reports, compliance documents, and communication records.
Reporting & Documentation -
* Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Weekly Reports, Monthly Progress Reports (MPR), and maintenance activity reports.
* Maintain records of work execution, inspections, invoices, correspondence, and compliance documentation.
* Track pending issues and escalate critical matters to higher management.
Operations & Maintenance Management -
* Ensure regular highway inspection and maintenance activities are conducted efficiently.
* Monitor emergency maintenance activities and breakdown response systems.
* Ensure road safety measures, traffic management systems, and emergency response mechanisms are properly maintained.
Billing & Commercial Coordination -
* Coordinate with Accounts and Billing departments for preparation and submission of RA Bills and maintenance claims.
* Verify site records, measurement sheets, work completion data, and vendor bills.
* Monitor project operational expenses and support cost control measures.
Resource & Logistics Coordination -
* Coordinate procurement and supply of construction materials, fuel, machinery, and consumables.
* Ensure proper movement and availability of equipment and maintenance vehicles.
* Coordinate accommodation, transportation, and administrative support for project staff.
Quality & Safety Compliance -
* Ensure compliance with NHAI, MoRTH, safety, and environmental standards.
* Monitor implementation of quality control procedures and safety practices at site.
* Coordinate closure of audit observations, client remarks, and compliance issues.
Crisis & Emergency Management -
* Coordinate emergency maintenance activities during accidents, floods, heavy rainfall, or road blockages.
* Ensure quick response and uninterrupted highway operations.
* Support management during crisis situations and operational emergencies.
Required Skills -
* Strong project coordination and communication skills
* Knowledge of National Highway maintenance operations
* Good reporting and documentation skills
* Ability to manage multiple project sites simultaneously
* Leadership and team coordination capability
* Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, ERP, and project management systems
Qualification & Experience -
* Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline
* Minimum 5–10 years of experience in National Highway / Road Infrastructure Projects
* Experience in NHAI Operations & Maintenance projects preferred
Preferred Candidate Profile -
* Good understanding of NHAI/MoRTH specifications
* Strong follow-up and problem-solving ability
* Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
* Experience in Head Office project coordination preferred
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
