Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and equipment. The role ensures that all electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical installations.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and minimize equipment downtime.
- Monitor the performance of electrical panels, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and motors.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for electrical projects and maintenance work.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment inspections.
- Support energy conservation initiatives and recommend improvements.
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical breakdowns.
- Ensure proper inventory and availability of electrical spare parts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Valid electrical license/certification (if required by local regulations).
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, facility management, manufacturing, or institutional infrastructure.
- Experience with HT/LT systems, DG sets, UPS, and electrical panels is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documents.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office for reporting and documentation.
Working Conditions:
- May require working in shifts, weekends, or being available for emergency maintenance.
- Involves both indoor and outdoor work depending on the facility’s requirements.
