Job Title: General Manager – Commercial & Construction
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager with a strong background in Commercial and Construction operations. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing project execution, commercial management, contracts, procurement, budgeting, vendor coordination, and overall site operations while ensuring timely completion of projects within budget and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Management
- Handle complete commercial operations related to construction projects.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, BOQ, costing, and financial planning.
- Manage vendor development, negotiations, procurement, and contract finalization.
- Review bills, invoices, payment certifications, and cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and company policies.
- Coordinate with finance, purchase, and project teams for smooth operations.
Construction & Project Execution
- Lead and supervise construction activities from planning to completion.
- Monitor project timelines, manpower, machinery, and material utilization.
- Ensure projects are completed within quality, safety, and budget parameters.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
- Resolve operational and technical issues at project sites.
Team & Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams including project, procurement, and commercial departments.
- Develop project strategies and operational plans.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Drive productivity, accountability, and process improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction project management.
- Expertise in commercial operations, contracts, and procurement.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting, costing, BOQ, and billing processes.
- Strong leadership and decision-making ability.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, AutoCAD, or project management tools preferred.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Commerce / Business Administration.
- MBA or PG qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 12+ years of experience in commercial and construction management.
- Experience in industrial, Printing and Packaging Background preferred.
