Key Responsibilities
- Sample Collection & Testing: Perform physical, genetic, and chemical testing on products (e.g., seeds, produce, grains) to verify quality and nutritional value. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Facility Inspections: Routinely inspect processing plants, farms, or storage facilities to ensure strict sanitation and hygiene practices are followed. [1, 2]
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all agricultural processes follow national and international food safety guidelines (e.g., HACCP, FDA, or local agricultural standards). [1]
- Documentation: Maintain precise laboratory records, calibrate testing equipment, and write inspection reports detailing any defects or non-compliance. [1, 2]
- Process Improvement: Isolate defective batches, prevent them from reaching the market, and work with production teams to fix the root cause of issues. [1, 2]
