The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations in the machine shop and assembly area. The role ensures production schedules are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, productivity, and cost efficiency. The supervisor leads production teams, coordinates with planning, maintenance, quality, and stores departments, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily machine manufacturing and assembly operations to meet production targets.
- Plan, organize, and allocate manpower, machines, and materials effectively.
- Monitor machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and testing activities to ensure adherence to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Production Planning & Control (PPC) to execute production schedules and prioritize work orders.
- Monitor machine utilization, productivity, and downtime, and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and minimize breakdowns.
- Enforce safety regulations, PPE usage, and 5S practices across the production floor.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production operators and technicians.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce cycle time, improve productivity, and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality management systems, and statutory requirements.
- Support new product development and process improvements during product launche
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
