Join a fast-growing medical device marketing agency
About our client:
Our client is a specialist marketing agency dedicated to the medical device industry. Presentations are a core part of what they deliver: their clients pitch to clinicians, hospital procurement teams, investors and boards, and the decks produced have to be flawless.
They focus on downstream marketing, including brand and message creation and its distribution across all traditional and digital channels, to increase awareness of clients’ technologies among healthcare professionals and patients and shorten their sales cycles.
PowerPoint Production Specialist
This is a build role, not a design role. The design team produces the final slide design and supplies every asset you need. Your job is to take that design and build it in Microsoft PowerPoint so that it is technically flawless: a properly constructed slide master, assets placed to the pixel, and animation that runs exactly as briefed.
We need genuinely advanced PowerPoint skills. Not someone who is comfortable using PowerPoint, but someone who knows how slide masters and layouts actually work, who can control external SVG, PNG and JPEG assets properly, and who can build a complex animation sequence that plays cleanly every time on any machine.
Every brief, animation specification and build guide is written in English, and all briefing and review happens in English. Fluent written English is therefore essential, so that instructions are followed exactly and nothing is lost in interpretation.
Responsibilities in this role include:
Slide master construction
- Build the slide master and all supporting layouts from the design supplied, including theme colours, theme fonts, placeholder positions, guides and slide size
- Set layouts up so that other people can create and edit slides afterwards without the design breaking
- Keep text styles, spacing, bullet levels and placeholder behaviour consistent across every layout
Deck build
- Build each slide to match the supplied design precisely on alignment, sizing, spacing, colour and typography
- Import and position external assets supplied as SVG, PNG and JPEG, keeping vector assets scalable and editable where appropriate
- Name and organise slides, layers and objects using the conventions set out in our guides, so any deck can be picked up and edited by someone else
- Keep files stable and sensibly sized, with fonts correctly embedded and images appropriately compressed
Animation
- Build animations and slide transitions exactly as set out in the animation brief, including order, timing, delays, triggers and motion paths
- Use the animation pane to control sequencing rather than relying on default effects
- Test every deck end to end in presenter mode before delivery, and confirm it behaves on a different machine and screen size
Desired traits & experience
The successful candidate will be precise, fast and reliable. The following traits and experience will be important for this role:
- A portfolio of decks you have personally built; we will ask to see them and to talk through how they were constructed
- Demonstrable experience building slide masters and layouts from scratch, not editing existing templates
- Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint animation, including the animation pane, motion paths, triggers and timing
- Clear on the difference between vector and raster assets and when each matters
- Exceptional attention to detail; you spot a two-pixel misalignment and fix it without being asked
- An efficient, repeatable workflow; you know the shortcuts, you do not build the same thing twice, and you work quickly without dropping quality
- Fluent written English. All briefs, animation specifications and build guides are written in English, and all communication with our team is in English
- Able to follow a written specification in English exactly and consistently, and to raise questions on a brief before starting rather than making assumptions
- Dependable on deadlines, with early warning if anything puts one at risk
- Comfortable working and communicating remotely
- Experience working from designs produced in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or Figma is a bonus but not required
What we provide
For every project you will receive the final approved design, a full asset pack, a written animation brief, and our guides covering asset labelling, naming conventions and build standards, all in English. You will not be asked to design, source imagery or write content. Scope, deadline and an estimated number of hours are agreed before the work starts.
Location
Fully remote. You can be based anywhere, provided you have reliable internet, a licensed and current version of Microsoft PowerPoint, and enough overlap with UK working hours for briefings and reviews.
Engagement type
Freelance, on demand. Work is offered project by project as decks are commissioned, and you will normally have up to a week’s notice before a project starts, though this can vary and occasional shorter turnarounds do come up. There is no guaranteed minimum volume and you are free to work with other clients alongside us. We are looking to build a long-term relationship with someone we can come back to again and again.
