Position: Psychologist
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Psychologist to join a multidisciplinary research team working on a longitudinal pregnancy and child cohort study. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing child neurodevelopment, cognition, behaviour, and socio-emotional development using standardized assessment tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct neurodevelopmental, cognitive, behavioural, and psychological assessments in children across different age groups.
- Administer and score standardized developmental and behavioural assessment instruments.
- Interact with children and families in a sensitive, child-friendly, and culturally appropriate manner.
- Maintain accurate research documentation and ensure high-quality data collection.
- Work collaboratively with paediatricians, obstetricians, public health researchers, and other members of the study team.
- Participate in research meetings, data interpretation, manuscript preparation, and dissemination of findings.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, Child, or Applied Psychology) from a recognized institution.
- Experience in developmental, cognitive, or behavioural assessment of children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary research team.
Desirable Qualifications:
- M.A or MSc in Psychology or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in clinical or research settings involving children.
- Familiarity with standardized neurodevelopmental assessment tools.
- Experience in longitudinal cohort studies or public health research.
- Interest in scientific writing and publication.
