Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Industrial Engineer to join our Home Textiles manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving productivity, optimizing production processes, reducing costs, and ensuring efficient utilization of manpower, machines, and materials while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard minute values (SMVs).
- Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for productivity improvement.
- Balance production lines to maximize efficiency and minimize bottlenecks.
- Monitor daily production performance and prepare efficiency reports.
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Optimize manpower allocation and improve labor productivity.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Planning, and Maintenance teams to achieve production targets.
- Prepare capacity planning and production layout recommendations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, utilization, and wastage.
- Support continuous improvement projects to reduce operational costs and improve quality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–8 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in the home textiles, textile, or garment manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of time study, motion study, line balancing, capacity planning, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with home textile products such as bed linen, towels, curtains, cushions, or kitchen textiles.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software.
