Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced General Manager – International Business & Exports to lead and expand the company’s global presence in the nutraceutical sector. The role will be responsible for developing export strategies, driving international business growth, building global partnerships, and establishing a scalable export business framework. The role will be responsible for running the profit & Loss for International Business.
The candidate will work closely with the leadership team to identify market opportunities, strengthen international sales channels, and ensure sustainable business expansion across key global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Strategy & International Business Growth:
· Develop and implement the international business and export strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
· Identify and evaluate new global markets, business opportunities, and distribution channels.
· Advise senior leadership on market trends, competitive landscape, and strategic expansion opportunities.
· Establish and scale the company’s export business vertical and global sales infrastructure.
· Oversee international sales performance, revenue targets, forecasting, and profitability across markets.
· Prepare annual business plans, budgets, and performance projections for international operations.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, procurement, regulatory, and logistics to streamline export operations.
2) Business Development & Market Expansion:
· Identify, develop, and close new international business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, channel partners, and key clients in global markets.
· Develop and implement channel partner and distributor engagement programs.
· Represent GCViDEAL at international trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events.
· Strengthen the company’s brand positioning in global nutraceutical markets.
3) Team Leadership & Operational Oversight:
· Lead, mentor, and guide the internal team for international business development.
· Drive performance management, capability development, and sales effectiveness within the export team.
· Ensure alignment between international business strategies and overall organizational goals.
· Monitor operational efficiency and continuously improve processes related to exports and international sales.
Regulatory Knowledge Required:
Understanding of regulatory frameworks for dietary supplements in:
Priority-wise:
· United States - FDA / DSHEA Regulations
· UAE & GCC region
· Southeast Asia
· African markets
· Canada (Health Canada / Natural Health Product (NHP) regulations)
Preferred Qualification:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related field preferred.
· MBA in International Business or Marketing will be an added advantage.
Experience & Skills:
· 8–15 years of experience in international business development, exports, or global sales, preferably in nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, or health & wellness industries.
· Proven track record of developing and executing successful export strategies across multiple international markets.
· Strong understanding of global regulatory requirements, export documentation, and international trade practices.
· Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong network within the global nutraceutical or healthcare industry.
· Willingness to travel internationally for business development and strategic partnerships.
