Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Ultrasonic Welding Supervisor for a plastic injection moulding manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for supervising ultrasonic welding operations, assembly activities, manpower handling, quality control, machine maintenance coordination, and production target achievement.
The ideal candidate should have experience in plastic component welding, production supervision, and handling ultrasonic welding machines in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise ultrasonic welding and assembly operations on the production floor.
- Ensure daily production targets are achieved as per planning.
- Monitor welding quality and minimize rejection/rework.
- Set up and troubleshoot ultrasonic welding machines.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production departments.
- Ensure proper machine parameter settings and process control.
- Train operators on machine handling and safety procedures.
- Maintain production records, rejection reports, and shift reports.
- Ensure implementation of 5S and safety practices in the department.
- Monitor manpower utilization and shift-wise productivity.
- Handle line balancing and workflow improvement activities.
- Ensure timely preventive maintenance coordination for machines and fixtures.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of ultrasonic welding processes.
- Experience in plastic injection moulding industry.
- Production supervision and manpower handling.
- Understanding of quality inspection standards.
- Machine setup and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Basic understanding of production planning and reporting.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / BE Mechanical, Production, or relevant field.
Experience
5 to 12 years of experience in ultrasonic welding operations within plastic injection moulding or plastic manufacturing industry.
