Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end procurement of raw materials, components, and consumables related to pump assembly (castings, forgings, motors, seals, fasteners, etc.)
- Identify and develop new vendors; maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate for cost-effective purchasing
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company policies
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Quality teams for material planning and requirements
- Monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking
- Follow up with suppliers for delivery commitments and resolve supply issues
- Maintain proper documentation of purchase records, invoices, and vendor details
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and audit requirements
Required Skills:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of pump components and engineering materials
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP / Tally / other)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic understanding of quality standards and technical specifications
Qualifications:
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 0–5 years of relevant experience in pump, engineering, or manufacturing industry
