About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Packaging Executive to oversee packaging operations in our food manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will ensure that products are packed efficiently, meet quality standards, and are ready for dispatch while maintaining compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day packaging operations and ensure production targets are met.
- Ensure products are packed accurately as per packaging specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor the availability of packaging materials and coordinate with the Purchase and Production teams to avoid shortages.
- Conduct regular quality checks on packaged products to ensure proper labeling, sealing, and packaging integrity.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs.
- Maintain packaging records, production reports, and inventory of packaging materials.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team for timely dispatch of finished goods.
- Identify and minimize packaging wastage while improving operational efficiency.
- Train and guide packaging staff on processes, quality standards, and safety practices.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness in the packaging area.
- Report machine breakdowns or operational issues to the maintenance team and follow up for timely resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Production, Operations, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in packaging operations within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Knowledge of packaging materials, labeling standards, and food safety practices.
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and production documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
