Aghanta Construction is looking for a skilled and experienced Welder to perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and repair work at construction sites. The Welder will be responsible for ensuring that all welding work is completed safely, accurately, and according to project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding work on structural steel, metal frames, pipes, gates, handrails, and other construction components.
- Read and understand drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
- Prepare, cut, grind, align, fit, and weld metal components.
- Operate welding equipment using appropriate methods such as Arc/SMAW, MIG, or TIG welding, depending on project requirements.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, alignment, and defects.
- Carry out repair and maintenance welding when required.
- Maintain welding machines, tools, electrodes, cables, and other equipment in safe working condition.
- Follow all site safety rules and use required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety shoes, and protective clothing.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, fabricators, and other site workers.
- Complete assigned work within the required project timeline.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in construction or structural steel work.
- Knowledge of Arc/SMAW, MIG, or TIG welding techniques.
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings and measurements.
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Ability to use grinders, cutting machines, measuring tools, and other fabrication equipment.
- Physically fit and able to work at construction sites and, where required, at heights.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
Preferred: 1–3 years of relevant welding or construction experience.
Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹36,916.98 per month
