Job Summary:
We are seeking a visionary Studio Director – Architect to lead our design studio with a strong focus on innovation and integration of AI in architecture and design workflows. The ideal candidate will drive creative direction, oversee project delivery, and implement advanced tools and technologies to enhance efficiency, design quality, and client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the architecture and design studio, ensuring high-quality project delivery
- Define and drive the design vision, concepts, and overall creative direction
- Integrate AI tools into design processes (concept generation, visualization, documentation, workflows)
- Oversee multiple projects from concept to execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
- Mentor and manage a team of architects, designers, and 3D visualizers
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions
- Collaborate with consultants, vendors, and contractors
- Streamline internal workflows using technology and automation
- Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and best practices
AI & Technology Expectations:
- Actively use AI tools for design ideation (e.g., generative design, prompt-based concept creation)
- Implement AI in visualization, space planning, and productivity workflows
- Explore automation in documentation, BOQs, and coordination
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in architecture and design
- Train and guide the team in adopting AI-driven processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Architecture
- 5-8 years of professional experience in architecture/interior design
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing large-scale projects
- Strong design portfolio with executed projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp/Revit, and visualization tools
- Hands-on experience or strong understanding of AI tools in design workflows
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with parametric design tools (Grasshopper, Rhino, etc.)
- Exposure to BIM workflows
- Strong business acumen and client management skills
- Ability to build systems and scale studio operations
