Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Accountant to oversee the financial aspects of project operations. The role involves managing budgets, tracking expenses, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support project success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Financial Management
- Manage the financial operations of assigned projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking.
- Monitor project expenses against the budget and highlight variances to the Senior Accountant and project management team.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, revenues, and profits.
2. Coordination with Senior Accountant
- Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to ensure project financials are aligned with company-wide financial goals.
- Provide necessary documentation and reports to support audits, compliance requirements, and financial analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of project financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
3. Budgeting and Cost Tracking
- Work with project managers to prepare detailed project budgets and update them as needed.
- Track costs and commitments for labor, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring all expenses are accurately recorded.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.
4. Invoice and Payment Management
- Review and process invoices from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Prepare and submit payment requests in line with project milestones.
- Reconcile project-related accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
5. Financial Reporting
- Generate and submit regular financial reports for each project, including budget utilization, cost-to-complete analysis, and profitability.
- Maintain detailed financial records and ensure they are accessible for audits and reviews.
- Support Senior Accountant in preparing consolidated project financial statements.
6. Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for each project, including contracts, invoices, and receipts.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of GST, TDS, and other project-related compliance filings.
7. Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to resolve financial issues and ensure smooth project operations.
- Support the Senior Accountant in implementing financial controls and procedures across project sites.
- Provide input during project reviews to enhance financial transparency and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in construction or a similar industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP) and strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and compliance requirements for project-based businesses.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
