Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Costing Executive to handle costing and estimation for furniture and home décor products. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate costing based on materials, hardware, finishes, labour, production requirements, and other associated costs.
The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in furniture, home décor, interiors, or manufacturing and should have a strong understanding of product costing and estimation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed costing and estimation for furniture and home décor products.
- Calculate costs based on raw materials, hardware, finishes, labour, and production requirements.
- Review product specifications, drawings, BOQs, and material details for accurate costing.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Purchase, R&D, and Sales teams for costing inputs.
- Maintain and update material, vendor, and product rate sheets.
- Analyse vendor quotations and compare material and production costs.
- Prepare costing sheets and commercial estimates for quotations.
- Ensure accuracy of costing before final quotations are prepared.
- Maintain BOMs, costing sheets, rate lists, and costing databases.
- Analyse estimated cost versus actual cost and identify variations.
- Support cost optimization while maintaining product quality.
- Track changes in materials, specifications, and production requirements and their impact on costing.
- Prepare costing reports and maintain proper documentation.
Candidate Requirements
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Costing / Estimation.
- Experience in Furniture, Luxury Home Décor, Interiors, or Manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong understanding of material, hardware, finishes, labour, and production costing.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas.
- Ability to understand product drawings, specifications, BOQs, and material details.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple costing requirements.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
