AS/400 Support Engineer
Experience – 3 years to 8 years
Work hours: US workings hrs (Night shift)
- Providing L1.5 support by creating, logging and classifying tickets for reported issues
Monitoring AS/400 batch jobs for completeness and failures, take corrective actions and monitor system alerts and logs to identify issues such as failed jobs or performance slowdowns and rerun failed jobs as per SOP.
Support POS process like repolls and reprocessing, fixing POS errors.
Performing basic troubleshooting for AS/400 including password reset, access queries and basic queries.
Escalate unresolved or complex issues to L2 or L3 support based on established protocols.
User communication regarding the status and estimated resolution times for tickets.
Documentation of recurring issues and resolutions
Managing user profiles on AS400
Ensuring compliance with defined SLA’s and providing prompt response to user queries.
Flexible to work in shift hours and providing on call support during weekends and outside working hours as required.
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Any experience on AS/400 development will be an added advantage.
Diversifying the services provided by IBMi LOB.
