We are a technical textile manufacturing company significantly expanding our extrusion capacity by adding three new lines, which will increase our combined output to over 700 MT/month across blown film and monofilament processes. We are seeking a hands-on technical leader to take ownership of the extrusion division from end to end, focusing on process stability, people management, and timely delivery to the knitting floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own daily production output across blown film and monofilament extrusion lines for both day and night shifts.
- Troubleshoot process issues, including melt temperature, die pressure, gauge variation, bubble instability, yarn denier inconsistency, and color and quality defects.
- Commission and stabilize new extrusion lines, establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each.
- Coordinate with the knitting division on material planning, yarn specifications, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor and control key process parameters such as melt temperature, screw RPM, haul-off speed, draw ratio, line speed, and winding tension.
- Maintain equipment upkeep and schedules in coordination with the maintenance team.
- Report daily on output, downtime, and quality metrics.
Must-Have Profile:
- 8-10 years of experience in HDPE/PP extrusion, specifically in blown film and/or monofilament.
- Hands-on troubleshooting ability and comfort working on the floor.
- Experience managing multiple shifts and a blue-collar workforce.
- Solid understanding of polymer behavior, process parameters, and their quality linkages.
- Familiarity with yarn specifications (denier, tenacity) and/or film specifications (gauge, gsm).
Desirable:
- Prior experience in technical textile, agro net, or shade net manufacturing.
- Background in polymer processing, with knowledge of rheology, compounding, masterbatch behavior, and material selection.
- Experience in commissioning new extrusion lines.
This position reports to the Head-Production and will oversee a team of 20-40 operators and supervisors across shifts
Pay: Up to ₹55,000.00 per month
