We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale core features across our cloud-native applications. In this role, you will own software components end-to-end—from architectural design and data modeling to writing production code, testing, and deployment. You will collaborate closely with product managers, system architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver resilient, high-throughput backend services and clean user interfaces, while championing engineering best practices and mentoring junior developers.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Architecture: Architect, build, and maintain scalable, high-concurrency microservices and APIs with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Full-Lifecycle Software Development: Write clean, well-tested, and secure code following modern software engineering principles and design patterns.
- Technical Ownership: Lead complex technical initiatives from technical specification to production rollout, taking responsibility for uptime, latency, and code quality.
- Code Reviews & Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous code reviews, drive unit and integration testing standards, and enforce automated testing within CI/CD workflows.
- Performance Tuning & Debugging: Diagnose, profile, and resolve technical bottlenecks, memory leaks, and production bugs to maintain high platform availability.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Partner with engineering leads to establish technical standards, refine system design frameworks, and mentor junior and mid-level software engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on professional experience building enterprise-grade web applications or distributed software systems.
- Core Programming Mastery: Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, Go, Node.js/TypeScript, C#, or C++).
- API Development: Extensive experience designing, consuming, and securing RESTful APIs, gRPC, or GraphQL web services.
- Data Stores & Caching: Deep working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL data stores (Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB), including schema design and query optimization.
- Distributed Systems: Practical experience with asynchronous messaging architectures and event streams (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
- Testing & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with unit/integration testing frameworks and automated deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Version Control: Mastery of Git workflows, branching strategies, and pull request reviews.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies and modern frameworks (React, Vue.js, Next.js) for full-stack ownership.
- Experience working in fast-paced Agile/Scrum environments.
