Job Summary
The Legal Executive will be responsible for handling the company's legal matters, ensuring statutory compliance, drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing litigation, coordinating with advocates, and providing legal support to all business functions. The role involves minimizing legal risks while protecting the company's interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, MOUs, NDAs, vendor agreements, distributor agreements, franchise agreements, and service contracts.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, including Companies Act, Contract Act, Labour Laws, GST-related legal matters, Food Safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
- Handle legal notices, replies, consumer complaints, recovery notices, and dispute resolution.
- Coordinate with external advocates, consultants, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage litigation matters and maintain records of ongoing legal cases.
- Prepare legal opinions and provide timely legal advice to management.
- Review business transactions to identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Assist in drafting company policies, legal documents, and compliance procedures.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the FMCG industry.
- Support HR in employment-related legal matters and disciplinary proceedings.
- Handle intellectual property matters including trademarks, copyrights, and brand protection.
- Assist in debt recovery cases and legal documentation for commercial transactions.
- Maintain proper documentation and legal records in both physical and digital formats.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, Legal Metrology, Packaging & Labelling, and other regulatory requirements applicable to FMCG products.
- Liaise with government departments for legal approvals and statutory matters whenever required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial laws.
- Excellent drafting and contract review skills.
- Understanding of Labour Laws, Companies Act, Contract Act, Consumer Protection Act, and Intellectual Property Laws.
- Knowledge of FSSAI regulations, Legal Metrology, and FMCG compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.
- Strong documentation and record management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal documentation software.
