The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems across all stages of PCB manufacturing. The role ensures compliance with customer specifications, IPC standards, industry regulations, and internal quality requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management System (QMS)
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems in accordance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with IPC standards, RoHS, and other applicable industry regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits and certifications.
Process Quality Control
- Monitor and improve quality throughout PCB fabrication, SMT assembly, THT assembly, soldering, testing, and final inspection processes.
- Establish quality checkpoints and process controls across manufacturing operations.
- Review and approve quality plans, inspection procedures, and testing methodologies.
Inspection & Testing
- Oversee Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), and Outgoing Quality Control (OQC).
- Ensure proper execution of AOI, X-Ray Inspection, ICT, Functional Testing, Flying Probe Testing, and other quality verification methods.
- Analyze inspection and testing data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
Customer Quality Management
- Handle customer complaints, quality issues, and field failure investigations.
- Coordinate root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure timely closure of customer quality concerns and maintain customer satisfaction.
Supplier Quality Management
- Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance.
- Conduct supplier audits and quality assessments.
- Work closely with procurement and suppliers to resolve component and material quality issues.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead quality improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Drive defect reduction, yield improvement, and process optimization initiatives.
- Establish KPIs and quality metrics for monitoring manufacturing performance.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor QA Engineers, QC Inspectors, and Quality Technicians.
- Conduct training programs on IPC standards, quality procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain quality records, audit reports, CAPA reports, and inspection documentation.
- Prepare periodic quality performance reports for management review.
- Ensure proper traceability and documentation control throughout production processes.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of PCB fabrication and PCB assembly processes.
- Expertise in IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-6012, and IPC J-STD-001 standards.
- Knowledge of SMT, THT, Wave Soldering, Reflow Soldering, and PCB testing methodologies.
- Experience with quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, CAPA, Fishbone Analysis, and 5 Why Analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in multilayer PCB manufacturing and electronics assembly.
- Exposure to automotive, industrial, telecom, medical, or aerospace electronics quality requirements.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Experience managing customer audits and supplier quality programs.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
