Job Summary
The Arts & Crafts Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate art and craft activities for primary school students. The teacher will encourage creativity, imagination, self-expression, and fine motor development while creating a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct creative arts and crafts lessons for primary students.
- Introduce students to drawing, colouring, painting, paper crafts, clay, collage, origami, recycled crafts, and other creative techniques.
- Prepare lesson plans, craft materials, samples, and classroom resources in advance.
- Encourage students to explore their creativity and develop their own ideas.
- Demonstrate different art and craft techniques in a simple, child-friendly manner.
- Support students according to their individual abilities and interests.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized art classroom.
- Ensure proper and safe use of art materials, tools, and equipment.
- Display students' artwork and help organize art exhibitions, competitions, and school events.
- Integrate art and craft activities with themes, festivals, celebrations, and classroom learning where appropriate.
- Observe and assess students' participation, creativity, skills, and progress.
- Maintain records of student work and provide feedback when required.
- Encourage teamwork, sharing, patience, and respect for others' creative work.
- Communicate effectively with class teachers and school management.
- Participate in school functions, workshops, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Follow all school policies, health and safety guidelines, and child-protection procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certification in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience teaching arts and crafts to primary school children is an advantage.
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate art and craft techniques.
Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
