Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MongoDB Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing MongoDB databases for high-performance applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in MongoDB architecture, data modeling, query optimization, replication, sharding, and database administration. Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain MongoDB databases for enterprise applications.
- Create efficient data models based on application requirements.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex MongoDB queries and aggregations.
- Implement indexing strategies to improve database performance.
- Configure and manage MongoDB replication, sharding, and clustering.
- Monitor database health, performance, and capacity planning.
- Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with application developers to optimize database interactions.
- Identify and resolve database bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Automate routine database maintenance tasks using scripting tools.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture planning.
- Maintain technical documentation and database standards.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience working with MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of NoSQL database concepts.
- Expertise in MongoDB data modeling and schema design.
- Experience with MongoDB Aggregation Framework.
- Strong knowledge of indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB Replication and Sharding.
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies.
- Proficiency in MongoDB Atlas or on-premise MongoDB deployments.
- Experience using MongoDB Compass and MongoDB Shell.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or .NET.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- MongoDB certification is an added advantage.
- Understanding of DevOps practices.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
