Ensure quality compliance of mechanical parts during incoming, in-process, and final inspection
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T, BOMs, BIS and technical specifications Inspect mechanical components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, etc.
Monitor machining, fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes to maintain quality standards Identify defects, non-conformities, and process deviations; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)Coordinate with production, maintenance, and purchase teams to resolve quality issues
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection instruments Maintain quality documents such as inspection plans, check sheets, NCRs, and quality reports Handle customer quality complaints and ensure timely corrective actions Support internal, external, and customer audits (ISO 9001, etc.)
Train shop-floor operators on quality standards, inspection methods, and best practices Monitor rejection, rework, and scrap levels and suggest process improvements
