What You'll Do
The People Digital Product Portfolio is the largest & most dynamic product portfolio within BCG’s Digital Products Organization. We enable the global technology for BCG’s entire HR & People Function including Recruiting; Talent Management (Staffing, Mobility, & Career Development); L&D and Teaming; and Core HR (including Workday & Compensation). Over the past two years, the HR Product Portfolio has more than doubled in size, and there is more growth to come.
With this growth comes amazing new leadership opportunities, including the Product Owner for a new squad focused on delivering Data & Analytics for Learning@BCG. This product owner role will be responsible for a new data product, consolidating Learning completions and other HR data about Learners to support both reporting, analytics and agentic personalization.
Initially, this role will be part of a larger Learning Transformation project. Long-term this role will be part of a growing suite of data products and analytics, focused on enabling our HR functions.
As the Product Owner, you will represent the voice of the customer, manage stakeholder alignment, and oversee the squad's backlog to deliver impactful results. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and high data quality.
Your responsibilities include:

Deliver business results and customer value

Drive incremental delivery of features for the Learning Data Product, ensuring timely customer value creation.

Monitor product performance metrics and adjust strategies based on insights.

Support Learning reporting, analytics in the long-term.

Prioritize impactful work to meet measurable Key Results for the squad.

Manage the squad’s budget and collaborate with leadership on funding needs.

Serve as the voice of the customer or end-user

Gather and translate user needs into actionable user stories for Data & Analytics.

Engage stakeholders to align expectations and enhance trust.

Conduct ongoing discovery activities to identify pain points and opportunities.

Balance customer value, cost, and execution speed in decision-making.

Set an overall vision to direct and inform the squad’s work

Bring a strong sense of ownership to the product squad and engage deeply in understanding the current and future needs of the function.

Align squad activities with broader product and organizational goals.

Translate objectives into a roadmap with clear goals.

Foster collaboration with other Product Owners to ensure organizational alignment.

Oversee what is delivered by the squad and when

Apply design-thinking to understand system user engagement and solve problems effectively.

Maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories with clear delivery timelines.

Define acceptance criteria ensuring output meets business needs.

Support and enable the squad to get its work done

Collaborate with the squad to remove impediments and clarify requirements.

Partner with Chapter Leads for resourcing and technical expertise.

Provide performance feedback to squad members and cross-functional team members.
What You'll Bring
-
7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in HR technology/product delivery roles.

Experience in managing data-driven products and analytics solutions.
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with HR leadership.

Agile product management expertise, with proven experience in leading Agile teams.
-
A data-driven mindset, leveraging insights for strategic decision-making.
-
Knowledge of integrations, including API and data ingestion workflows is a plus.
-
Experience in consulting, learning products or HR is a plus.
