Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Testing Engineer – Fresher to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in software testing, good analytical skills, and a willingness to learn testing methodologies and tools.
As a Software Testing Engineer, you will work closely with developers and the QA team to identify defects, verify software functionality, and help deliver high-quality applications to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand software requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UI testing.
- Execute test cases and document test results.
- Identify, reproduce, and report software defects clearly.
- Track defects and follow up with developers for resolution.
- Perform re-testing and regression testing after bug fixes.
- Participate in requirement analysis and review discussions.
- Maintain test documentation and testing reports.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members.
- Learn and use testing tools and methodologies as required.
- Ensure software meets defined quality and functional requirements.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Software Testing / QA concepts.
- Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
- Understanding of test cases, test scenarios, defect life cycle, and bug reporting.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of SQL/database concepts is an advantage.
- Familiarity with API testing, Postman, Selenium, or automation testing is a plus.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with 0–1 year of experience in software testing/QA may also apply.
- Candidates should have a strong interest in building a career in Software Quality Assurance.
