Senior Workato Tech LeadRole Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Workato Tech Lead to lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise integration and workflow automation solutions using the Workato platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), API-led integrations, cloud applications, and enterprise automation strategies.
This role requires a combination of hands-on technical leadership, solution architecture, stakeholder management, and team mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable integration and automation solutions using Workato.
- Architect end-to-end integration solutions across cloud and on-premise applications.
- Drive technical discussions with business stakeholders, architects, and client teams.
- Develop and maintain Workato recipes, custom connectors, APIs, and reusable integration frameworks.
- Define integration standards, governance practices, security controls, and best practices.
- Review solution designs, code, and implementation deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
- Support estimation, solution planning, capacity planning, and release management activities.
- Mentor and guide developers and integration engineers across multiple projects.
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues and drive root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, and business users to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure integrations adhere to performance, scalability, security, and reliability requirements.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, technical assessments, and solution demonstrations when required.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of overall software engineering experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with the Workato platform.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing enterprise integrations using Workato.
- Experience building and managing APIs, web services, and event-driven integrations.
- Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth, JWT, and API security standards.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications such as:
- Salesforce
- SAP
- Oracle
- ServiceNow
- Workday
- Microsoft Dynamics 365
- NetSuite
- Azure and AWS services
- Strong SQL and data integration experience.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and integration governance frameworks.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Good-to-Have Skills & Experience
- Workato Automation Pro or Workato Certified Professional certification.
- Experience with enterprise architecture and integration patterns.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Exposure to AI-driven automation, intelligent workflows, and process orchestration.
