An MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer designs, coordinates, and oversees the installation of the critical systems that make buildings habitable, safe, and energy-efficient. They bridge the gap between architectural design and construction by ensuring these vital utility networks function seamlessly together
Key Responsibilities
- System Design: Create detailed plans, schematics, and load calculations for HVAC, power distribution, lighting, water supply, and waste management.
- Technical Coordination: Review drawings and utilize 3D modeling/BIM software to resolve system clashes and ensure constructability.
- Site Supervision: Oversee installation, conduct quality inspections, and ensure all work aligns with safety regulations and building codes.
- Vendor Management: Assist in evaluating subcontractor bids, managing material procurement, and verifying equipment quality.
- Commissioning: Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure systems operate at peak efficiency and sustainability
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
- Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit, BIM (Building Information Modeling), and project management tools.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong grasp of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, electrical circuits, and mathematical load calculations.
- Communication: Ability to bridge communication between architects, construction managers, and subcontractors
Pay: ₹321,219.77 - ₹1,412,177.55 per year
