Position description: #*The Hydraulic Engineer is responsible for the design, development, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hydraulic systems used in industrial machinery and equipment. The role involves ensuring system reliability, efficiency, safety, and compliance with technical standards while supporting project execution and plant operations.*#
Primary Responsibilities: #*Design and develop hydraulic systems, circuits, and power packs for industrial applications.
Prepare hydraulic schematics, GA drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
Select hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, accumulators, filters, and piping systems.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and automation teams for system integration.
Review vendor drawings and technical documents for compliance with project requirements.
Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems.
Analyze system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
Conduct root cause analysis for hydraulic failures and implement corrective actions.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and hydraulic engineering best practices.
Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities for hydraulic equipment.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for technical discussions and project execution.
Maintain project documentation, reports, manuals, and service records.*#
Skills: #*Experience in steel plants, rolling mills, process industries, or heavy engineering projects.
Exposure to commissioning and maintenance of hydraulic equipment.
Knowledge of PLC-controlled hydraulic systems is an added advantage.*#
Required work experience
- Years of experience: #*Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or related field with 5-7 years of experience in the same stream.*#
