As an Academic Associate (AA) your primary role will be to assist faculty in developing and running labs. The undergraduate programme is fully residential. You will serve as an additional resource person that students can contact for any queries regarding specific lab/field course requirements and procedures. At any given point, multiple courses may be running at the same time, and the you are expected to assist the instructor/lab manager to coordinate these events.
This is a full time one-year position, with a possibility of contract renewal for a second year upon evaluation.
Responsibilities:

Assist faculty members in preparing and running labs for different courses and participate in designing the labs

Assist students during the labs.

Mentor students for course projects.

Since the pedagogical style and content of the courses may be unique, you will be required to sit in on the courses that you are providing technical help with.

Assisting faculty to maintain the model organisms required for the labs.

Assisting the faculty to keep track of lab consumables and coordinating with them to get it procured.

Assist faculty to organise science outreach and workshops.
