Role Overview
The Senior Hostel Warden – Boys Hostel will be responsible for the overall administration, discipline, safety, and smooth functioning of the boys’ hostel. The role requires maturity, leadership, and the ability to manage students, staff, and daily hostel operations efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesHostel Administration & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the boys’ hostel.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of hostel premises.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, security, and maintenance staff.
Student Discipline & Welfare
- Maintain discipline and enforce hostel rules and regulations.
- Monitor student attendance, entry-exit timings, and behavior.
- Address student grievances and welfare issues promptly.
- Counsel students when required and escalate serious issues to Management.
Safety & Security
- Ensure safety and security of all hostel residents.
- Monitor security arrangements, CCTV usage, and night rounds.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and responsibly.
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with Principals, Admin, Transport, and Medical teams.
- Maintain hostel registers, records, and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and local regulations.
Reporting & Supervision
- Supervise hostel wardens, caretakers, and support staff.
- Submit regular reports on hostel operations, discipline, and issues.
- Ensure instructions from Management are implemented effectively.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (preferred).
- 5–10 years of experience in hostel management or residential supervision.
- Prior experience in educational institutions is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, discipline management, and communication skills.
- Ability to stay on campus or be available as required.
