L25 - Services Associate, Manual Testing
Join Deloitte as a Services Associate, Quality Engineering and help deliver high-quality testing support for financial applications within the Government and Public Services practice. In this role, you will contribute to manual and automation testing activities, support release quality, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to validate business and functional requirements. This is an opportunity to build hands-on experience across the software testing lifecycle while supporting critical application delivery.
Work you'll do
As a Services Associate, Quality Engineering on the GSi team, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, creating, reviewing, maintaining, and executing test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business and functional requirements
- Performing functional, regression, integration, system, performance, scalability, reliability, and user acceptance testing
- Identifying, documenting, tracking, analyzing, and retesting defects while coordinating with development teams on resolution
- Developing, maintaining, and executing automation test scripts using Playwright and reviewing automated test results
- Collaborating with developers, product teams, business analysts, project managers, and user acceptance testing teams to define testing strategies and support releases and production rollouts
The team
This role is part of the GSi team which is part of the Government & Public sector. The team is responsible for performing various testing methodologies specific to financial applications. With a focus on innovation, we continuously seek ways to enhance and optimize existing deliverables. The team will liaise with multiple stakeholders to execute testing of fixes and / or new capabilities, communicate findings, and manage incident tracking to resolution. You will work in a highly visible environment in close relationships with technical experts and end-users. Professionals in this process are responsible for assessment, design, development, testing, enhancement, implementation, maintenance, documentation, and support of new or existing tools and applications.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in manual testing and quality assurance activities
- Experience creating and executing test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, and test data
- Knowledge of software development life cycle and software testing life cycle
- Experience with defect logging, tracking, and defect lifecycle management
- Familiarity with JIRA and Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server
- Experience with Playwright for test automation
Preferred:
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, system, or user acceptance testing
- Exposure to performance testing concepts and scenarios
- Experience with test automation concepts and frameworks
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
- Experience supporting financial applications such as SAP or Costpoint
- Knowledge of project budgets, profitability, or bill rates
