We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Student Counselor to provide guidance and support to students in their academic, personal, emotional, and career-related development. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build trust with students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students.
- Support students in managing academic, personal, social, and emotional challenges.
- Identify students who may require additional counseling or professional support.
- Conduct career and academic guidance sessions based on students’ interests, abilities, and goals.
- Maintain confidential and accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress.
- Coordinate with teachers and parents when required to support students’ overall development.
- Conduct workshops and awareness sessions on topics such as stress management, study skills, confidence building, and career planning.
- Help students develop effective communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor students’ behavioral and emotional development and provide appropriate guidance.
- Work closely with the school management and teaching staff to promote students’ overall well-being.
- Follow appropriate confidentiality and professional counseling practices.
Requirements
- M.A. in Psychology is mandatory.
- Additional certification/coursework in Counseling Psychology or School Counseling will be an advantage.
- 2–5 years of relevant counseling experience, preferably in a CBSE school.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, and relationship-building skills.
- Empathetic, patient, and approachable personality.
- Ability to handle sensitive student matters professionally and confidentially.
- Good understanding of adolescent and child psychology.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
