Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complete electrical drawing packages using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), power distribution drawings, control schematics, panel layouts, I/O drawings, interconnection diagrams, and cable schedules.
- Generate terminal strip layouts, wire numbering, cross-references, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Revise drawings based on client markups and engineering redlines while maintaining revision history.
- Ensure drawings comply with project standards and North American electrical practices.
- Good understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code),NFPA Standards,UL508A
- Perform quality checks to verify drawing accuracy, cross-references, tagging, and documentation consistency.
- Coordinate with project teams to clarify design inputs and resolve technical queries.
- Deliver projects within agreed schedules while maintaining high quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering
- 3–8 years of experience in electrical design and drafting.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
- Experience developing multi-sheet industrial electrical drawing packages.
- Good understanding of electrical schematics, control panels, power distribution systems, and industrial automation documentation.
- Familiarity with North American electrical standards such as NEC, NFPA, and UL508A is preferred.
- Experience handling drawing revisions, version control, and quality checking.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with material handling systems, industrial automation, or control panel projects.
- Knowledge of terminal planning, wire numbering, device tagging, and BOM generation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality engineering documentation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
