A Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers. The role involves using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create accurate drawings for construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation).
- Interpret engineering, architectural, and design specifications to produce accurate drawings.
- Create layouts, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Revise and update drawings based on client, engineer, or project manager feedback.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
- Maintain drawing registers, document control, and revision history.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, designers, and project teams to resolve design issues.
- Perform site visits and take measurements when required.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and quantity take-offs where applicable.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all drawings before submission.
- Organize and archive project drawings and related documentation.
- Support project execution by providing technical drafting assistance throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in AutoCAD or other CAD software is an advantage.
- 2–5 years of drafting experience (depending on the position level).

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with BIM software (e.g., Revit) is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹10,013.15 - ₹37,963.72 per month
