Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced RCM Analytics Representative to support a multi-entity
behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment portfolio. This role transforms raw
revenue cycle data — claims, payments, denials, and AR — into clear, actionable dashboards
and reports that drive operational and financial decision-making. The ideal candidate is fluent in
healthcare RCM concepts and is a strong hands-on builder in modern BI tools, capable of
turning large, messy datasets into reliable, automated reporting that leadership can trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI (and Sisense
- or comparable BI platforms) covering the full revenue cycle.
- Develop and automate recurring reporting: claims billed, AR aging, payments and
- collections, denial trends, and net collection rate across multiple entities.
- Build expected-reimbursement and payer-rate models by level of care (PHP, IOP, OP) and
- service line to surface underpayments and variance.
- Source, clean, and reconcile data from billing/EHR systems (e.g., CollaborateMD, Kipu)
- and payer remittance files (835/ERA, EOBs).
- Create KPI scorecards for RCM functions including VOB turnaround time (TAT), clean
- claim rate, days in AR, denial rate, and collector/team productivity.
- Partner with billing, collections, and VOB teams to translate operational needs into
- reporting requirements.
- Identify data-quality issues and reconciliation discrepancies (e.g., adjustment mismatches)
- and drive them to resolution.
- Ensure all reporting and data handling complies with HIPAA and organizational PHI
- security standards.
- Deliver ad hoc analyses and executive-ready summaries on tight timelines.
Required Qualifications
- BI / Dashboarding: Demonstrated, hands-on experience building dashboards in Power
- BI; experience with Sisense (or a comparable platform such as Tableau, Sigma, or
- Looker) strongly preferred.
- RCM Knowledge: Solid understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle — claims,
- payments, denials, AR aging, adjustments, and net collections.
- Data Skills: Strong Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and SQL for data extraction,
- transformation, and reconciliation.
- Data Modeling: Experience with DAX, Power Query, and building clean data models from
- multiple, imperfect source systems.
- Accuracy: Meticulous attention to detail with a track record of producing reliable,
- reconciled, audit-ready reporting.
- Communication: Able to present data clearly to non-technical stakeholders and work
- fluently in English with a US-based leadership team.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder (SUD) billing and
- reporting.
- Familiarity with behavioral health levels of care and codes (PHP / H0035, IOP / S9480,
- detox, residential) and associated per-diem and per-unit reimbursement.
- Experience working with payer remittance data (835/ERA) and EOB analysis.
- Working knowledge of CollaborateMD, Kipu, or similar behavioral health EHR/billing
- platforms.
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-facility healthcare organizations.
- Exposure to automated/scheduled reporting pipelines and data refresh management.
Tools & Environment:
- Primary BI tools: Power BI, Sisense
- Data: SQL, Excel, payer remittance files (835/ERA)
- Source systems: CollaborateMD, Kipu (behavioral health RCM)
- Compliance: HIPAA / PHI security protocols (BAA required prior to PHI access)
Performance Expectations
- Reporting delivered accurately and on schedule for monthly end-of-month close and
weekly operational reviews.
- Dashboards are reliable, reconciled to source, and require minimal manual rework.
- Data discrepancies are proactively flagged and resolved.
