Summary:
As a SAP Security Monitoring Expert Specialist, you will have to lead continuous security monitoring, risk detection, and compliance assurance across complex SAP landscapes. This role acts as the SAP security monitoring SME, ensuring early detection of security violations, segregation-of-duties (SoD) risks, and unauthorized activities across ECC, S/4HANA, HANA, Fiori, & RISE
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- SAP Security Monitoring & Detection
- Monitor SAP systems for security violations, unauthorized access, and critical authorization changes across ECC, S/4HANA, BW, HANA, and Fiori landscapes.
- Analyze SAP security logs, audit logs, change logs, and background job outputs to identify anomalies and potential threats.
- Real-time threat detection and alerting via SAP-native event monitoring.
- ABAP code vulnerability analysis and secure-coding guidance.
- Transport & Interface security with anomaly detection.
- Continuous SAP vulnerability scanning (config, code, transports, interfaces).

- Incident Response & Investigations
- Act as lead for SAP security incident response, including access misuse, privilege escalation, and policy violations.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for SAP security incidents and recommend preventive controls.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Security.
- Experience in SAP ECC / S/4HANA Security SoD analysis, sensitive access monitoring, Firefighter
- Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Experience in designing and implementing security frameworks for cloud platforms.
- Ability to analyze complex security requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions.
- Familiarity with identity and access management within SAP environments.
- Skilled in risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to cloud security.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP Security.
- This position is based at our Mumbai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required
- Bachelors and above degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Engineering / Bachelor or college degree in related field or equivalent work experience (Full time).
- The candidate should have minimum 5+ years of in SAP Security, with strong focus on security monitoring, audit, and risk management.
- SAP Security / GRC Certification would add value
