Job Purpose
To ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of plant equipment and utilities by planning and executing preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance in compliance with safety, statutory, and quality standards of the chemical industry.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations
- Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for plant equipment such as reactors, distillation columns, agitators, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, boilers, chillers, and utilities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure maximum equipment uptime and process reliability.
- Coordinate maintenance activities during shutdowns, turnarounds, and plant modifications.
Safety & Compliance
- Strict adherence to EHS, MSDS, HAZOP, PTW (Permit to Work), LOTO, and statutory safety guidelines.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with Factory Act, PESO, pollution control norms, and internal safety standards.
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Planning & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain maintenance schedules, checklists, SOPs, and maintenance logs.
- Manage breakdown reports, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action plans.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with purchase/stores for critical spares.
Utilities & Energy Management
- Monitor and maintain utilities such as boilers, compressors, cooling towers, HVAC, DG sets, ETP/STP.
- Support energy conservation initiatives and cost optimization projects.
Vendor & Team Coordination
- Coordinate with external contractors and OEMs for AMC, major repairs, and installations.
- Supervise technicians and ensure safe work practices on shop floor.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to maintenance staff.
Key Skills & Competencies

- TPM / CMMS / SAP PM (preferred)

Qualification
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering
Experience
- Incharge Maintenance: 3 - 10 years
- Experience in chemical / pharma / specialty chemicals / process industries preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
