About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Playwright Automation Tester to join our QA team on a contract basis and take ownership of software quality through robust test automation and continuous quality improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in End-to-End (E2E) test automation using Playwright and JavaScript, along with expertise in CodeceptJS, Appium, Redis, and CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust End-to-End (E2E) automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Develop and maintain automated test cases using CodeceptJS.
- Perform mobile application automation testing using Appium.
- Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation scripts using JavaScript.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, cross-browser, and end-to-end testing.
- Work on testing across web and mobile applications and ensure consistent product quality.
- Validate APIs and backend integrations as part of the overall automation strategy.
- Work with Redis and understand its role in application workflows, data handling, and test validation.
- Identify, document, track, and follow up on software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify quality risks and resolve issues effectively.
- Contribute to improving test automation coverage, reliability, execution speed, and overall QA processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases.
- Take ownership of quality and continuously identify opportunities to improve automation and testing practices.
Must-Have Skills
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Software Testing / Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience in Playwright for End-to-End (E2E) automation.
- Strong programming experience in JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with CodeceptJS.
- Experience in Appium and mobile application automation testing.
- Experience working with Redis.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation frameworks, and QA processes.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, cross-browser, and API testing.
- Ability to design and maintain scalable, reusable, and stable automation frameworks.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- Experience or knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI.
- Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their practical applications.
- Experience with AI-assisted software testing or test automation.
- Knowledge of TypeScript.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience testing enterprise communication, collaboration, or secure applications.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira.
Pay: From ₹70,000.00 per month
