Job Description
Procurement Strategy & Planning Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives. Collaborate with business units to understand procurement needs and forecast demand. Identify procurement risks and opportunities to optimize cost, quality, and service. 2. Supplier Relationship Management Source and qualify suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve best value. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and collaboration. 3. Purchase Order & Contract Management Manage the full procurement cycle, including purchase order creation, approvals, and vendor communication. Oversee contract drafting, review, negotiation, and compliance in partnership with legal teams. Maintain accurate procurement documentation and contract repositories. 4. Cost Control & Savings Initiatives Drive cost reduction programs through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and demand management. Monitor procurement spend and identify areas for efficiency improvements. Report procurement savings and KPIs to senior management. 5. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supplier financial health and geopolitical factors. Support audit processes with accurate documentation and process adherence. 6. Process Improvement & Automation Identify inefficiencies in procurement workflows and implement process improvements. Utilize procurement software and e-procurement tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) for automation. Lead initiatives to digitize procurement processes and enhance data accuracy. 7. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with finance, legal, operations, and other stakeholders to align procurement strategies. Provide procurement expertise during product development, project planning, and supplier onboarding. Facilitate communication between suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues. 8. Team Leadership & Development (Senior Manager role) Lead and mentor procurement team members, set performance goals, and conduct evaluations. Promote professional development and training within the procurement team. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
