We are looking for an experienced BMS Engineer – Operations to monitor and manage Data Centre infrastructure integrated with the Building Management System (BMS), including safety and security systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for alarm monitoring, incident management, report preparation, system maintenance, documentation, and ensuring uninterrupted operations of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Building Management System (BMS) alarms continuously.
- Understand customer SLAs and identify service deviations.
- Acknowledge, investigate, and close alarms within defined timelines.
- Escalate unresolved alarms as per the escalation matrix.
- Report incidents promptly to internal and customer stakeholders.
- Create and manage incident tickets through the support portal.
- Coordinate with partners/vendors and track complaints until closure.
- Maintain event logs and evidence for service-impacting incidents.
- Maintain inventory of critical infrastructure including:
- IP Addresses
- Servers
- Storage Systems
- Workstations
- Network Switches
- Manage Access Control System activities:
- Card Activation
- Card Deactivation
- Access Reconciliation
- Perform password management and backup maintenance.
- Conduct physical health checks of ELV systems and alarm panels.
- Support internal, external, and customer audits with proper documentation.
- Prepare monthly operational reports for:
- Temperature & Relative Humidity (Temp & RH)
- Access Control
- CCTV
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
- Verify latency and system synchronization during maintenance.
- Track PM observations and ensure timely closure.
- Monitor VAPT and Patch Management activities and provide updates to the Shift Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred in Data Centre Infrastructure, Electrical, Electronics, IT, or related field).
