Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchase Manager to lead procurement operations in the metals and power manufacturing sector. The role requires strong expertise in sourcing, vendor management, and cost optimization, ensuring uninterrupted supply of raw materials, consumables, and capital goods for large-scale industrial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Source and negotiate contracts for raw materials (aluminium, copper, steel, etc.), consumables, and equipment.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks to guide purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company policies in procurement processes.
- Collaborate with production, finance, and operations teams to forecast requirements and manage inventory effectively.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize procurement budgets.
- Prepare MIS reports, purchase forecasts, and supplier performance evaluations for management review.
Requirements:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
- 8–10 years of experience in procurement/purchase within metals, power, or heavy manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of commodity markets, vendor ecosystems, and import/export procedures.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
- Ability to manage high-value contracts under tight deadlines
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
