Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and technically sound Project Engineer to manage the execution of conveyor and bulk material handling projects across the South Region. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, customer coordination, site execution, vendor follow-up, installation supervision, commissioning support, and ensuring timely completion of projects while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Handle complete execution of conveyor and bulk material handling projects from order receipt to commissioning.
- Prepare project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure on-time project completion.
- Coordinate with customers, consultants, vendors, production, purchase, quality, and dispatch teams.
- Plan material dispatches as per site requirements and project milestones.
- Visit customer sites for project review, installation supervision, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including progress reports, MOMs, installation reports, and site checklists.
- Follow up with vendors for fabrication, machining, bought-out items, and timely deliveries.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams for drawing approvals and technical clarifications.
- Resolve technical issues during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company quality standards.
- Manage customer communication and provide regular project status updates.
- Coordinate billing milestones and project closures with internal departments.
- Support after-sales service activities whenever required.
- Travel extensively across South India based on project requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Belt Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, Screw Conveyors, Slat Chain Conveyors, Rotary Air Lock Valves, Feeders, Crushers, and other Bulk Material Handling Equipment.
- Good understanding of fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and mechanical assemblies.
- Project planning and execution skills.
- Vendor management and customer coordination.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Project, ERP systems, and AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in conveyor or bulk material handling equipment projects.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the South Region.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Customer-focused with good coordination and communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Salary
₹4– ₹4.5 LPA (Negotiable based on experience, technical competency, and interview performance)
