We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will play a key role in shop floor execution and quality assurance. The candidate will be responsible for guiding fitters as per drawings, ensuring quality standards, and preparing inspection and testing reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and supervise fitters and technicians as per engineering drawings
- Interpret fabrication and machining drawings accurately
- Ensure adherence to quality standards during fabrication and assembly
- Prepare and maintain:
- Internal Inspection Reports (IIR)
- DFT (Dry Film Thickness) Reports
- Weld Visual Inspection Reports
- Coordinate with production and quality teams for smooth execution
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping
- Assist in resolving shop floor technical issues
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 1–5 years of experience in fabrication or heavy engineering industry preferred
- Good knowledge of fabrication drawings and welding processes
- Basic understanding of quality control and inspection procedures
- Familiarity with measuring instruments and inspection tools
Skills Required:
- Strong practical knowledge of fabrication processes
- Ability to handle shop floor operations
- Attention to detail in quality documentation
- Good communication and team coordination skills
