Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager – Commercial Interior Fit-Out is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of commercial interior fit-out projects from initiation through handover. The role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and client expectations. This position coordinates cross-functional teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients while proactively managing risks, resources, and project performance. The Senior Project Manager also supports business objectives by driving operational excellence and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end management of commercial interior fit-out projects, including planning, procurement, execution, monitoring, and final handover.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, designers, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and timelines, implementing corrective actions where necessary to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety regulations, company policies, and applicable building codes and standards.
- Manage procurement activities, material delivery schedules, and subcontractor performance to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and provide timely status reports to senior management and clients.
- Identify and manage project risks, variations, change orders, and claims while maintaining proper documentation.
- Lead site teams and mentor project engineers, site managers, and coordinators to promote high performance and accountability.
- Support commercial negotiations, project closeout activities, snag resolution, and successful client handover.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in project management and execution.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience
- 12-15 years of relevant experience in project management within the commercial interior fit-out or construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale office, retail, hospitality, or corporate interior projects from concept to completion.
- Proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in budget management, contract administration, procurement, and project scheduling.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of commercial interior fit-out methodologies, construction practices, and finishing works.
- Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project or Primavera), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Sound understanding of contracts, budgeting, cost control, quality assurance, and health and safety regulations.

Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel to project sites and client locations, as required by business needs. Frequent site visits may be necessary depending on project portfolio.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
